Canoe Trip #2

Here's a few photos of our second canoe trip in our new canoe.

Location: French Creek from Union City Dam to Rts. 6N & 19 (Leg #3)
Date: May 26, 2002
Conditions: 52 degrees, sunny, a little chilly but very acceptable weather.
Flow Rate: 200, average for this day over past 26 years, 70

Getting ready
Ray, Me, Jen and Adam standing on Rt.97

Me, Jen Adam and Ray ready to shove off.
Let's go
Cruising down the creek.
This was the easiest trip yet! We only had to paddle to steer, the flow pushed us the whole trip.
One of MANY stops
Of course working so hard we had to stop to refuel frequently.
Gilligan's Island!
We found this really cool, secluded island. Had to check it out!
The End
A final departing shot. At least it's still daylight, wait till trip report #3 (the marathon trip from Hell)

One thing you might notice is that I don't take a tripod on our trips so group shots take a bit of imagination. I've got the camera propped up or suspended from a tree or on a pile of rocks or on a guardrail post. Part of the fun.
